today i am under the weather. thankfully, it is not malaria or yellow fever but it has slowed me down a bit. i am thankful for healed friendships and new business opportunities. i am thankful that my work as an artist appreciated and valued, but i am most thankful for the place it comes from and goes back to when the day is said and done. i am thankful that it is healing to me, it helps me through the process, and i am thankful for opportunities to create things for others.
today my mind is elsewhere, as it has been off and on for the past couple months. i keep watching the sun as it heads farther west, and sending my prayers with it.
so today i am under the weather, and today, same as any other, today i take my relationships not yet healed, my bridges not yet crossed, my paintings yet to be done and the tunes that have not yet been sung and i place them in a wicker basket, and send it up the Nile.
if i come with nothing, i come with everything i need.
