we were able to help a woman and her children from an abusive husband. and it was totally orchestrated by god. if rob's car hadn't been broken into a week ago, he would have been up there and back and cody probably would have been asleep and missed it entirely. if erin had gotten in the car with cody like i did to stay warm and chat instead of smoking, we would have missed the whole thing because she's the one who saw them pull into the parking lot and the man start beating his wife. if i didn't speak spanish the family wouldn't have payed us any attention and the girls wouldn't have come across the street to us; and the police wouldn't have been able to communicate with the wife. if there hadn't been drama, i would have been up there and back without erin in the first place. erin and i wouldn't have been hanging out if it hadn't been her one year anniversary of accepting christ as her savior. if she didn't have some stuff going on we would have gone to the 8 and not been available to help. if cody's car hadn't broken down we wouldn't even have had to go up there in the first place! if i never went to gt i never would have gone to ccf and then to spain and needed marisa who set me up with erin who was going through hard times...if marisa hadn't gone to tech from california and swain hadn't dated keight, she wouldn't have been a believer or and intern who worked at acc and met erin to introduce her to me. if kelly walser hadn't prayed for christian girlfriends...if leah and i hadn't ridden together to that spring retreat, if amanda ross didn't like to sit in the park and read i might not know rob and never have known cody.
and that, dear friends, is how the river flows.
silly how the cops couldn't do anything more than give her a report to take and file with the magistrate court to get a warrant for his arrest. they couldn't even take her to her house because it was out of their jurisdiction.
did i mention erin was amazing? she was so good with the kids while i was translating. i'm so glad she was there. i'm so glad slept on my porch dec. 1 2006...it made a world of difference in that woman's life. she told me she was alive thanks to us.
all glory and honor to God. if it weren't for him, erin and i wouldn't even have been there. wow. i am amazed.
